What We Collect

Nothing. Aurorum does not collect, transmit, store externally, or share any personal data or usage information of any kind.

What Stays on Your Device

Aurorum stores the following locally on your device only, using Android's Room database and DataStore:

• Your music library metadata (file paths, titles, artists, albums)
• Playback preferences (shuffle, repeat, speed, volume boost)
• Equalizer settings
• Favorites and playlists you create
• Tracks you choose to hide from your library

This data is never uploaded anywhere and is permanently deleted when you uninstall the app.

Permissions Used

• READ_MEDIA_AUDIO (Android 13+) / READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (older) — to scan and play audio files stored on your device
• POST_NOTIFICATIONS — to show a media playback notification with playback controls on your lock screen
• FOREGROUND_SERVICE / WAKE_LOCK — to keep music playing when the screen is off
• BLUETOOTH_CONNECT — to receive play/pause signals from bluetooth headphones

No permission is used for tracking, advertising, or data collection of any kind.

No Ads, No Analytics, No SDKs

Aurorum contains no advertising networks, no analytics libraries (no Firebase, Crashlytics, Amplitude, or similar), and no third-party tracking SDKs of any kind.

Internet

Aurorum does not require an internet connection to function. The app does not make any network requests.

Children's Privacy

Since no data is collected from anyone, there is no special risk to children's privacy. The app is not directed at children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above will be updated. Significant changes will be noted in the app's release notes on Google Play.
